Palmwood Logo

ENiTo™ Palmwood Flooring features superior strip-flooring boards that reflect the best attributes of natural palmwood. Each board is a solid piece of wood that has been cut from the trunk of a palm tree; there is no lamination involved. Boards are laid using a glue-down only installation system.

The unique and striking features of the coconut palm tree are captured in each strip-board of tongue and groove flooring. These boards are very durable with a janka hardness rating of 10, equivalent to Blackbutt and Brushbox. The natural boards can be finished with solid oil or wax based finishes. There is a pre-finished board that has an 8 layered wear-resistant coating. ENiTo Palmwood comes in 15mm x 90mm x 900mm tongue and groove boards with end matching.

ENiTo™ Palmwood Flooring is made from over-mature coconut palms that no longer produce fruit due to their age. Felling these trees to make flooring allows for re-planting of productive trees.

Palmwood is a trendy alternative to flooring that is from illegal sources such as Merbau, Kempas and Teak. By choosing to spend your purchasing dollar on palmwood is helping to change consumer demand away from illegally sourced timbers

CERTIFIED TIMBER SOURCES
The information below is from the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) of Australia. This is the local branch of the global organisation at the fore-front of combating deforestation caused by unsustainable and illegal practices. They have the most stringent certification system in the world.

The Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA) along with most green building councils in the Western world only recognises FSC certification of timber products in their rating systems. In the case of the GBCA this is their Green Star Rating System which only recognises FSC and GECA certification.
